Please join the program in congratulating the following IRIS Alumni who were recently awarded the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship in geophysics or were nominated for an Honorable Mention. The purpose of the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP) is to help ensure the vitality and diversity of the scientific and engineering workforce of the United States. The program recognizes and supports outstanding graduate students who are pursuing research-based master's and doctoral degrees in science and engineering. The GRFP provides three years of support for the graduate education of individuals who have demonstrated their potential for significant achievements in science and engineering.

- Rachel Marzen (2013) - Rachel is actively considering options for next fall.
- Kimberly McCormack (2011) - Kimmy is currently enrolled in a PhD program the University of Texas at Austin
- Joshua Russell (2013) - Josh has enrolled in a PhD program at Columbia University.
- Bradley Wilson (2013) - Bradley is currently enrolled in a PhD program at the University of Arkansas.
