We propose acquiring coincident 3D continuous multi-fold, multi-azimuthal seismic reflection and GPR surveys. There are three primary objectIves of this experiment. First, we will use these data to measure the preferred azimuthal orientation of the planar void system taking advantage of the complementary information provided by the two methods. Second we will compare and contrast the data quality and information provided by each method in an effort to quantitatively evaluate the value of these tools in imaging temperate glaciers. Third, developing an understanding of the anisotropy is critical in properly interpreting the velocity structure and in the subsequent dielectric modeling to estimate water content. This experiment will be completed during the summer field campaign when there is little or no snow cover over the zone of investigation.
