Description
This small-scale project is designed to provide basic tests of various seismic sources and their effectiveness in field operations when used with Stratavisor and Geode data acquisition systems in preparation for field operations in Ethiopia and Kenya in May-June 2008. The main project is funded by NSF. This test is not funded, but will provide us with experience on new Geode systems and will provide training to personnel who plan to work in the field on this and other projects. This test experiment also is being coordinated with a seismology class to give students hands-on experience in field layout and data collection techniques.
