Description
In September of 1999, the USGS Earthquake Hazards Program collected vibroseis data in San Bernardino, CA, to image shallow San Bernardino Basin structure including the San Jacinto fault zone. The profile generally trended southwest along the East Twin Creek Channel starting at Perris Hill Park, eventually joining the Santa Ana River bed, ending west of S. La Cadena Dr. Total profile length is approximately 14 km. Data were acquired with a “minivib I” seismic vibrator using a linear sweep of 10-100 Hz over 12 seconds and a 2 second “listen” time. The sample interval is 2 milliseconds. Geophones were 8 Hz single vertical component with 10m spacing. Source point interval is 10m and the number of channels per record was nominally 120. Except as noted in the observer’s log file, all data files are stacks of four vibe sweeps and are correlated. Station location information is in the SEGY file headers.
