Description
We acquired three P-wave seismic reflection profiles as part of a pilot study in Portland to test the viability of using a “minivib-I” seismic vibrator to image sedimentary layers and Quaternary faults. Lines are: Kuehne Road, Mallard Way, and Wood Avenue. Coordinates for seismic stations are provided in a text spreadsheet, in UTM Zone 10N projection WGS84 datum. Data files are in SEG-2 format. Acquisition: The seismic data are provided in uncorrelated format; the pilot trace is the vibrator sweep signal using a 20-to-160 Hz 10-second sweep length and one second “listen time”. Sample interval for the data is 1 millisecond. Source and receiver spacing was nominally 5 meters, and sensors were 8-Hz vertical-component geophones. Observer’s logs are provided in pdf format.
