Description
In July, 1986, the USGS conducted a seismic refraction/reflection survey in northern Nevada as part of the Program for Array Seismic Studies of the Continental Lithosphere (PASSCAL) Basin and Range Lithospheric Seismic Experiment. The major purposes of the experiment were to investigate the uncertainties in the crustal and upper-mantle velocity structure, to investigate differences between the interpretations of previous wide-angle and existing reflection and refraction data in that region.
