The goals of this SIG are to encourage effective education strategies, promote awareness of seismology-related education resources, and identify education needs of the community. It will be an open forum to discuss ways to improve classroom learning, train the next generation of geophysicists, and make the most of outreach opportunities. We envision this session will be helpful to those interested in developing competitive Broader Impacts, early career faculty members new to teaching, and those faculty members who want to discuss and address current barriers (e.g. mathematical or spatial skills) for undergraduate and graduate students.
