A magnitude 7.0 earthquake occurred 96 km (59 miles) north of Tuban, Indonesia at a depth of 594 km beneath the Java Sea. The earthquake was felt in the urban centers of Surabaya, Tuban, Semarang and Bali's Denpasar. There are no reports of damage or injuries. Due to the depth of the earthquake, no tsunami was generated.
