The Earthquake Channel (EQC) shows current earthquakes on high resolution satellite images and was designed for a large-screen display in a museum, lobby, visitor center or school setting. The world and 16 regional maps are included. Earthquake circle size represents magnitude and color represents each earthquake's age. Magenta dots are used for historical earthquakes to enhance the plate boundaries and regions of high seismicity. The EQC display is customizable. Users can change various preferences including the maps shown, minimum magnitude of earthquakes plotted, and time-on-screen of each individual region.
