Are any of the states in the US free of earthquake hazard?
No, every state could have an earthquake, or be shaken by the waves of an earthquake that occurred in a nearby state. However, several states are considered to have a very low earthquake hazard: Florida, Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota, and Wisconsin.
